Dr. Aarthi Dhakshana J D is an accomplished academic professional, researcher, and examination administrator with 9+ years of experience in higher education, currently serving as Deputy Controller of Examination at Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan University, Samayapuram, Tiruchirappalli. She is committed to advancing academic excellence, examination quality, digital transformation, process standardization, and academic integrity.
Her multidisciplinary academic background, combining Information Technology, Finance & System Management, Agricultural Marketing Management, and Management Studies, enables her to effectively integrate technology, management, research, and academic processes. This diverse academic foundation has strengthened her ability to contribute across teaching, research, academic administration, and technology-enabled institutional practices. Her professional journey reflects significant contributions to academic administration, teaching, research, mentoring, and institutional development. She has served as a Ph.D. Research Supervisor, UG/PG Project Supervisor and Mentor, and has contributed to Board of Studies activities, NAAC initiatives, admission coordination, student development, and academic quality processes. She has also organized academic programmes focusing on Outcome-Based Education, curriculum, assessment, research methodology, and innovative evaluation practices.
At Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan University, Dr. Aarthi has introduced and successfully implemented the On-Screen Evaluation (OSE) System and several systemized examination processes, strengthening efficiency, transparency, confidentiality, accuracy, and timely evaluation. Her initiatives have transformed conventional examination practices into a technology-enabled, robust, transparent, and quality- driven assessment ecosystem, with a strong emphasis on academic integrity and continuous improvement.
A Ph.D. in Management Studies from Periyar Maniammai Institute of Science & Technology, her research interests encompass Finance, System Management, and Agricultural Marketing. She has contributed 23 research publications and book chapters, including publications in Scopus-, Web of Science-, ABDC-, and UGC- listed journals, with book chapters published by reputed academic publishers including IGI Global Scientific Publishing, Taylor & Francis, and Springer. She has also contributed to two academic books.
Beyond her academic and administrative responsibilities, Dr. Aarthi actively contributes to knowledge sharing, professional development, and higher education initiatives through national and international conferences, FDPs, workshops, seminars, and research programmes. She has received a Best Research Paper Award for her contribution to research on sustainable development through technology and management.
She has also represented the academic community at distinguished professional forums, serving as a Roundtable Speaker at The Economic Times (ETEducation), in collaboration with Mercer | Mettl, on “Reimagining Online Learning Ecosystems: Innovation, Collaboration, and Quality in the Digital Era.” She was also a Roundtable Speaker at Jeppiaar University, Chennai, on “Leading the Future of University Assessment, Academic Integrity & Examination Excellence.” These engagements demonstrate her active contribution to contemporary discussions on digital education, assessment innovation, academic integrity, and the future of university examinations.
