On 21-09-2024, our first-year architecture students from Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan University, embarked on an inspiring live sketching trip to the iconic Srirangam Temple along with their Design Incharge Ar.K.G.Poornima and Ar.M.Priyadharshini. This immersive experience aimed to enhance their understanding of architectural elements through direct observation and sketching. Students were guided through various sections of the temple, each rich in intricate details. They focused on perspective, shading techniques and shadow play. By the end of the day, students had produced a
variety of sketches showcasing their unique perspectives and artistic interpretations. Many expressed newfound confidence in their sketching abilities and a deeper appreciation for architectural nuances.
