The National Conference on Biotechnological Innovations for Vitalization – 2026 was organized by Department of Biotechnology, St. Joseph’s College, Trichy. It provide a national platform for researchers, academicians, professionals, and students to share recent advances and innovative approaches in biotechnology. Our 3rd year students participated in innovative ideathon Dharshini, Meera Yashmin, Lavanya Shree, and Kishore showcased an AI-Enabled Mobile Microscope Diagnostic App, utilizing smartphone-based imaging and optical magnification for rapid biological sample analysis. Dr. Sathya presented a research topic on Alpha7 Nicotinic Acetylcholine Receptors as a promising biomarker and therapeutic target in Alzheimer’s disease. The event concluded with a strong commitment to advancing biotechnology research for societal benefit and sustainable development.
