The Department of Science and Humanities organized a one-day workshop titled "Harnessing the Power to Unlock the Secrets of Successful Publications in Q1-WOS-SCIE Journals" on 27th March 2025 at the Lecturer Hall. The workshop aimed to provide faculty members, researchers, and scholars with valuable insights into publishing high-quality research articles in reputed Q1 Web of Science (WoS) and SCIE-indexed journals. The resource person, Dr. Balakumar Pitchai, Director of PMIST, delivered an informative and engaging session on the essential aspects of academic publishing. He explained the process of selecting appropriate journals, preparing quality manuscripts, addressing reviewers' comments, and maintaining research ethics. The session also highlighted common reasons for manuscript rejection and effective strategies to improve publication success. Participants gained practical knowledge on writing impactful research papers and increasing the visibility of their research. The workshop featured interactive discussions and a question-and-answer session, enabling participants to clarify their doubts regarding the publication process. Faculty members and research scholars actively participated and appreciated the expert guidance provided. The workshop proved to be highly beneficial in enhancing research and publication skills, motivating participants to contribute quality research to internationally recognized journals. Overall, the programme was informative, inspiring, and a great success.
