Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan University Hosts Inauguration of Club and Invited Talk on Harnessing Data for Smarter Decisions
Samayapuram, Tiruchirappalli: The School of Engineering and Technology, Department of Information Technology at Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan University organized a significant event titled “Inauguration of Club & Invited Talk on Harnessing Data For Smarter Decisions” on August 12, 2025. The program was held at the Seminar Hall, SET Block, attracting faculty, students, and industry professionals.
The event was presided over by Shri A. Srinivasan, Chancellor, and Smt. Ananthalakshmi Kathiravan, Pro-Chancellor of the university. The invited talk was delivered by Mr. J. Derrick Alex, AGM Operations at VDart, Trichy, who shared valuable insights into the role of data in driving informed decision making in today's tech-driven world.
Distinguished academicians such as Dr. C. K. Ranjan (Vice-Chancellor), Dr. Dhanasekaran Devaraj (Registrar) and Dr. V. Sekar (Dean, School of Engineering & Technology) served as program advisors. The event was Convened by Dr. G. Sasikumar (Associate Dean, CSE/SET), and organized by Dr. S. Padmapriya (HoD, IT). Mrs. T. Nandhini Raju and Mrs. S. Radhika, Assistant Professors in IT, ensured the smooth execution of the program.
