Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan University Launches "Smart Tech Sprint" Hackathon to Foster Innovation
Samayapuram, Tiruchirappalli—Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan University’s School of Engineering and Technology is proud to announce the commencement of the "Smart Tech Sprint" hackathon, organized by the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (IoT). Scheduled for August 12, 2025, at 9:00 AM, the event will take place in the Seminar Hall of the SET Block.
The hackathon aims to encourage students to collaborate, innovate, and solve real-world challenges using the latest advancements in smart technologies and IoT. The initiative is supported by the university’s leadership, including Chief Patron Shri A. Srinivasan (Chancellor) and Patron Smt. Ananthalakshmi Kathiravan (Pro-Chancellor).
Dr. Suresh Kannaiyan, CEO & MD of Menmozhi Technologies Pvt Ltd, Trichy, will serve as the resource person, guiding participants through the intricacies of technological problem-solving.
The event benefits from the expertise of respected advisors, including Dr. C.K. Ranjan (Vice-Chancellor), Dr. Dhanasekaran Devaraj (Registrar), and Dr. V. Sekar (Dean-SET) . Dr. G. Sasikumar (Associate Dean, CSE) acting as convenor and Dr. N. Kumaran (HoD, IoT) as organizer. The coordinators include Mr. N. Vinothkumar and Dr. C. Ramachandran (Assistant Professors, CSE).
The institution’s commitment to nurturing young talent and driving innovation is further highlighted by the collaborative efforts of faculty and the Institution's Innovation Council.
