The School of Pharmacy, Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan University, successfully organized a Workshop on "Classroom to Publication" for the students on 23 May 2026. The programme was coordinated by Dr. K. Nithya, Professor, Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry at the School of Pharmacy, to encourage students to develop research aptitude and to understand the process of transforming classroom learning into high-quality scientific publications.
The workshop featured Dr. Shiva Vijayakumar, School of Engineering and Technology (SET), Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan University, as the resource person. During the session, he provided valuable insights into research methodology, literature review, scientific writing, manuscript preparation, publication ethics, plagiarism awareness, journal selection, and the publication process in reputed peer-reviewed journals. He also emphasized the importance of critical thinking, innovation, and evidence-based research in academic and professional development.
The interactive session motivated students to participate in research activities actively and equipped them with the knowledge and confidence to convert their academic projects into publishable research articles. Students enthusiastically engaged in discussions and clarified their queries regarding scientific writing and publication practices.
The workshop concluded with a vote of thanks, acknowledging the valuable contribution of the resource person and the efforts of the organizing faculty. The programme proved to be highly informative and beneficial, inspiring students to pursue research excellence and contribute to the advancement of pharmaceutical sciences through scholarly publications.
