Gender Sensitization in the Context of POSH
A workshop on Gender Sensitization in the Context of POSH (Prevention of Sexual Harassment at Workplace) was organized on 15th May 2026 on behalf of Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) of our University to create awareness about maintaining a safe, respectful, and inclusive work environment. The session aimed to educate participants about gender equality, workplace ethics, and the importance of preventing sexual harassment.
The resource person Mrs. K.R. Vijayavani, Founder & Principal Counsellor, Psyche Heal Counselling Services, Chennai has explained the provisions of the POSH Act, employee rights and responsibilities, and the role of the Internal Complaints Committee (ICC). Real-life examples and interactive discussions helped participants understand acceptable workplace behavior and the importance of mutual respect.
The workshop emphasized creating a positive workplace culture where every individual feels safe and valued. 300 members including faculty members (Teaching & Non-teaching) and students actively participated and interacted during the session and clarified their doubts regarding workplace conduct and grievance procedures.
