The Medical Devices Club of the School of Allied Health Sciences, Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan University, successfully hosted MEDINNOVATE 2026 on 05-06-2026, a dynamic event that celebrated the convergence of technology, innovation, and healthcare. Bringing together aspiring healthcare professionals, researchers, and innovators, the event provided an exceptional platform to explore the transformative potential of emerging medical technologies.
A major highlight of the programme was the thought-provoking keynote session on "Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare" delivered by Dr. Varun P. Gopi, Associate Professor, National Institute of Technology. His insightful presentation illuminated the revolutionary impact of artificial intelligence in diagnostics, precision medicine, medical imaging, predictive analytics, and patient-centred healthcare. The session inspired participants to embrace innovation as a catalyst for advancing the future of medicine.
The event witnessed an overwhelming response, with 118 enthusiastic participants, including 33 external competitors from various institutions. Participants showcased remarkable ingenuity, analytical thinking, and collaborative problem-solving skills through a series of intellectually stimulating competitions. After an intense display of talent and creativity, the Department of Cardiovascular Technology emerged victorious, securing the Overall Championship Trophy through its outstanding performance.
MEDINNOVATE 2026 also marked significant milestones in the journey of the Medical Devices Club. The occasion featured the official launch of the club logo, symbolizing its vision and identity, along with the unveiling of the club's innovative mobile application, designed to enhance collaboration, learning, and engagement among members.
