The School of Allied Health Sciences, Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan University, achieved remarkable recognition at HEMOFORGE-26, the National Perfusion Technology Conference, organized by Vinayaka Mission's Research Foundation on 5th and 6th June 2026. Conducted under the inspiring theme, "Saving Lives is a Work of Heart – Enhancing the Perfusion Technology Profession in Futuristic Health Care," the conference brought together aspiring perfusion technologists, academicians, and healthcare professionals from across the country to showcase innovation, research, and clinical excellence.
Demonstrating exceptional academic proficiency and research aptitude, the third-year B.Sc. Perfusion Technology students secured prestigious accolades in multiple competitive events. Ms. Shivani Devi and Ms. Thofa were awarded the First Prize in the e-Poster Presentation for their innovative work titled "Pulse of Innovation." Mr. Dilip Sanjay earned the Second Prize in the Paper Presentation category for his scholarly presentation on "Bioengineered Heart Valve." Further adding to the University's accomplishments, Ms. Muneerah Shameem and Ms. Sivasakthi secured the Third Prize in the e-Poster Presentation with their thought-provoking presentation, "Voice of Failing Heart."
The outstanding achievements of the students were celebrated by Dr. K. Rekha, Dean, School of Allied Health Sciences, who felicitated the winners and commended their dedication, scientific curiosity, and commitment to academic excellence. Their success reflects the University's emphasis on research-driven education, innovation, and experiential learning. Participation in HEMOFORGE-26 provided students with invaluable exposure to emerging trends in perfusion technology while fostering professional networking and scholarly collaboration. These accolades not only brought laurels to the University but also reaffirmed its commitment to nurturing competent healthcare professionals equipped to contribute meaningfully to the future of cardiovascular care and medical innovation.
