FIVE-DAY FDP ON SCIENTIFIC WRITING AND PUBLISHING FROM 24-06-2026 TO 01-07-2026
The School of Pharmacy & University Education Centre, Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan University, Tiruchirappalli, successfully organized a Five-Day Faculty Development Programme (FDP) titled “From Idea to Indexed Publication: Scientific Writing and Publishing for Faculty” from 24 June 2026 to 1 July 2026 at Room No. 201, Academic Block. The programme served as a vibrant platform for faculty members to enhance their scholarly writing capabilities and strengthen their research publication skills. A total of 12 faculty members from the School of Allied Health Sciences (AHS) actively participated in the FDP, demonstrating their commitment to academic excellence, lifelong learning, and research advancement.
Renowned academicians Prof. Dr. P. Selvamani and Dr. Balakumar Pitchai delivered enlightening sessions on scientific manuscript preparation, systematic literature review, research ethics, plagiarism prevention, journal selection, publication workflows, and strategies for publishing in reputed indexed journals. Their scholarly deliberations provided participants with practical insights into transforming innovative research ideas into high-quality scientific publications.
The participating AHS faculty members enthusiastically engaged in interactive discussions, collaborative workshops, and hands-on writing exercises that refined their academic writing, critical analysis, and research dissemination skills. The programme also introduced participants to emerging concepts such as bibliometric analysis, citation management tools, publication metrics, and techniques to improve global research visibility.
The Faculty Development Programme concluded on a highly inspiring note, leaving participants with enhanced publication literacy, renewed research enthusiasm, and greater confidence in contributing to internationally recognized scientific literature. The active participation of the 10 School of Allied Health Sciences faculty members reflects the institution's unwavering dedication to fostering a robust research culture, academic innovation, interdisciplinary collaboration, and excellence in higher education.
