The College of Nursing, Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan University, celebrated World Health Day on 7th April 2025 under the theme "Healthy Beginnings, Hopeful Futures." The programme was graced by Ms. R. Vasantha Murugesan, Maternal and Child Health Officer, Trichy District; Ms. K. Chitra, CHN, Mannaparai Block; and Dr. Arthi Pillai, Professor & Head, Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, SMCH, Samayapuram, Tiruchirappalli. The resource persons highlighted the importance of maternal and newborn health, preventive healthcare, and the role of nurses in improving community health. Faculty members and students actively participated in the programme. The event created awareness on healthy lifestyles and maternal care. It concluded successfully with a renewed commitment to promoting quality healthcare and public health awareness.
