Expert Talk on "Electrical Safety and Energy Conservation" The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, School of Engineering and Technology, Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan University, successfully organized an Expert Talk on "Electrical Safety and Energy Conservation" on 17 July 2026 from 10.30 AM to 1.00 PM at the Seminar Hall, SET Block. The programme began with a warm welcome to the dignitaries, faculty members, resource persons, and students. The session was conducted by experienced officials from TNEB, Tiruchirappalli: Er. A. Mala, Senior Manager Er. R. Akila, Assistant Engineer Er. K. Antony Selvaraja, Assistant Engineer The resource persons explained the importance of electrical safety, common electrical hazards, accident prevention methods, and the proper use of safety equipment. They also shared practical tips on energy conservation and encouraged students to use electricity responsibly. A live demonstration of electrical safety equipment was conducted, making the session more interactive and easy to understand. Students actively participated in the discussion and clarified their doubts during the question-and-answer session. The programme concluded with a Vote of Thanks, expressing gratitude to the University Management, Dean, Associate Dean, Head of the Department, resource persons, faculty members, and students for their valuable support and participation. Outcome of the Programme Students gained practical knowledge of electrical safety. Participants learned simple and effective energy conservation techniques. The session increased awareness about safe electrical practices. Students had the opportunity to interact with industry experts from TNEB. The programme was informative, interactive, and beneficial for all participants. The event was successfully conducted with enthusiastic participation from faculty members and students.
